Sailing Magazine - The Hobie Way of Life

Sean Downey was featured once again in the August 2009 edition of Sailing Magazine.  His photos accompanied a masterfully written article by Betsy Crowfoot which highlighted the 40th Anniversary of the "Hobie Way of Life".

One of Sean's photos was used in the Table Of Contents section which was smartly accented by the SAILING logo using colors from the main sail in the photo.

Sean Downey was published once again in the June 2009 issue of Sailing Magazine.  His photos accompanied a wonderfully written article on the 2008 Mayor's Cup by Betsy Crowfoot.

Sean Downey Gets First Cover Shot

Sean was honored with one of his shots being chosen for the cover of the Southern California Yachting Association's 2008 Race Calendar and Yacht Club Directory. Sean also has crops of his photos used throughout the book as page headers.  So, if you haven't seen it yet, and if you're a Southern California yacht club member, look for it at your club, and take a peak!

Sean was featured with five photos from the 2007 Mayor's Cup in conjunction with an article by Betsy Crowfoot in the November 2007 issue of Sailing Magazine. The well-written article outlined women's match racing and more importantly the Women's International Match Racing Association's (WIMRA) bid to have women's match racing added to the Olympic Games. Read More The bid was successful and WIMRA will be working with the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) to finalize the structure and which boats shall be used.
